St. Francis Xavier School third grade students studied the metamorphosis of a butterfly and its life stages that include egg, larvae/caterpillar, pupa/chrysalis and adult.  The children were able to experience the phenomenon of complete metamorphosis within a classroom setting, developing a deeper realization of the wondrous world in which we live and their responsibility to preserve and protect our environment.

St. Francis Xavier School is observing the FORTY DAYS FOR LIFE, September 28th through November 4th.  We are dedicating daily prayers with the Intercessions for Life and the holy Mysteries of the Rosary.  As a witness and daily reminder of this dedication to RESPECT FOR LIFE every student and member of the faculty and staff has signed a leaf for the huge Tree of Life that appears on campus.  For more information on 40 Days for Life visitwww.40daysforlife.com

Way to Go, Falcons!

The boys’ 5th and 6th grade soccer team traveled to Naples on Saturday to play in a junior varsity tournament. Each team played three games and our team scored 11 goals and only gave up one goal. The first game we won 2-0, the second we tied 1-1, and the third game we won 8-0. We were crowned champions and brought home a trophy for the trophy case!
